OTP Meme Drabbles - Part 1

Whooo, here we go! First dump of drabbles from the OTP Meme. I kept these ones somewhere in between 100 - 200 words, but certain ones in the future might be a bit longer. I've still got plenty to write and I have a good few in the works, so expect more relatively soon. I hope you like them (particularly those who gave me the prompts)! ♥

Fandom: Glee
Pairing, prompt: Finn/Kurt, stage fright
For: [livejournal.com profile] boxseat
Word Count: 204

Kurt’s eyes were closed as he breathed deeply through his nose, but his flailing hands betrayed any sign of calm in his appearance. He wasn’t sure how he got into this situation. One minute he was talking about Pride Week with his LGBT youth group; the next he was backstage at the William McKinley auditorium, waiting to give a speech about it.

He was about to come out. To the entire school. And he volunteered for this. Oh, God.

___

Finn sat on a bench in the locker room trying to tie his shoelaces. He was currently on his fourth attempt, cursing under his breath when he found that he had once again tied them too tight. The rest of his teammates were going over game plays or lost in their own little worlds, their minds focused on impressing the college scouts that will be attending the game. No one paid any attention to Finn as he got more and more frustrated with his laces.

Finally he gave up and reached for his cell phone.

___

Kurt’s phone vibrated in his hand. The caller ID displayed the name he was just about to speed dial.

“Hey – I’m freaking out!” they both said in unison.

Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing, prompt: Harry/Hermione, time-travel
For: [livejournal.com profile] boxseat
Word Count: 140

Hermione was on her tip-toes rummaging around in a small cupboard above a stone basin.

“Where are we going today?” asked Harry. He walked over and placed a hand on the small of her back to steady her.

“Hang on...” She rummaged around some more. “Got it!” she said, lowering herself back onto flat feet. She handed him the vial she had extracted from the cupboard. Its label read: Summoning Charm, Fourth Year.

Harry smiled as he poured the contents of the vial into the Pensieve. “I drove you mental that night trying to learn this,” he laughed.

“Yes, you did,” she said with annoyance, ruffling his graying hair.

“Ready?”

“Ready.”

Harry kissed Hermione's hand and pulled her arm around his shoulders. He slung his own arm around hers, and together they dipped their heads into the cool, misty liquid.

Fandom: Lost
Pairing, prompt: Jack/Sawyer, domesticity
For: [livejournal.com profile] invisiblelove
Word Count: 136

Sawyer padded to the front door in his boxers and a haphazardly donned robe. Keeping his feet on the landing, he opened the screen door and leaned out to the mailbox to collect its contents. He yawned as he rifled through the newspaper, separating into two piles the Business, Editorial and Entertainment sections from the Health, Sports and Obituaries. He walked into the kitchen where Jack was frying eggs and placed the latter pile on the opposite side of the table from his own.

Ten minutes later, Jack set down two plates of bacon, eggs and toast while Sawyer poured up the coffee. They each settled in with their portions of the newspaper and dug into their breakfasts.

Every day began the same way. Neither of them had any intention of changing it any time soon.

Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing, prompt: Gen, two deceased characters talk in the afterlife
For: [livejournal.com profile] janie_tangerine
Word Count: 100

“Hey, Ellen.”

She’d recognize that gruff voice anywhere.

“Well, I’ll be damned.” Ellen turned around, looking her greeter up and down. “How’ve ya been, John?”

He opened his mouth to begin, but only an exasperated chuckle came out and he shook his head. “How much time you got?”

Ellen looked around at her white surroundings. “Seems like all I got is time.”

His smile faded and his tone became serious. “Thanks for looking after my boys, Ellen. Thank you.”

Her face remained expressionless. Slowly she lowered her gaze and turned to go.
“You gonna help me find Jo or what?”

Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing, prompt: Sam/Jess, first meeting
For: [livejournal.com profile] wandersfound
Word Count: 166

“What do you mean it’s declined?”

Jessica Moore stood in line at the Starbucks in the student centre and watched a tall, lanky guy with dark floppy hair try to pay for a Venti Latte with a credit card. He muttered something under his breath that sounded like “still trying to keep me from being here” and dug around his pockets for spare change.

“I’m sorry,” the tall guy sighed to the barista at the cash several moments later. “I don’t have enough on me.”

“That’s okay, I got it,” Jessica rushed forward. Tall Lanky Guy, in addition to being tall and lanky, was very cute.

“Oh, you don’t have to—”

“I insist.”

He smiled sheepishly at her. “Thank you so much.” He extended a large hand. “I’m Sam.”

“Jess.” She shook his hand. “You’re in my Art History class, aren’t you?”

“Uh, yes!” he said. “Yes, I am.”

He wasn’t. But several hours and a trip to the registrar’s office later, he would be.
