Hehe. I've made peace with the HP ships for the most part. I'll never understand them, but I'm not really bothered by them anymore. My love for H/Hr trumps my hate or dislike for anything else. =) You definitely should finish the books, there's a lot of epicness towards the end.

I wasn't really sure how to write that afterlife one, but the main thing I wanted was for John to be in Ellen's debt in some way, so that last bit was the only way I could think of having him attempt to repay her. I would be all over canon John and Ellen afterlife discussion, man.
