I was wading through the sparrabeth and I noticed you had commented there and I liked your icon and was curious as to who made it, so I came to your journal to see. lol. Weird, I know...but, it tickled me fancy and so here I came. Anyway, while here...I took a look at your userinfo page and noticed that you liked several of the shows that I enjoy and you also shipped several of the ships that I love, as well.

And plus, I'm always looking for more friends to add to my f-list who love Jack/Elizabeth from PotC. And I was wondering...if maybe, I could friend you? :)

Aw, now it's my turn to say I'm sorry that I'm late on this. Haha. Plus give you a warning, the last few posts I've made were kinda emo, but I've been in a really weird place lately. It won't always be like that in my journal, promise. Don't run away scared. Haha. :)

Nope, you can never. Most esp. when the bulk of friends on your f-list are W/E shippers. *shudders* I need more people to stick together with me, hahaha. ;)

Oh, W/E shippers. I could tolerate most of them pre-DMC, but once my eyes were opened up to J/E it was hard to understand where the Willabethers were coming from.

Good, I'm glad that you can understand that. Because really, I hate to be emo like that. I just have a lot on my plate right now. *g*

Ooh, the W/E shippers weren't so bad back when CotbP, was out and I could actually stand them. They had reasons for enjoying what they were given, but DMC changed every single thing for me. Actually, that's not true. CotbP is where I became a major J/E fan. I don't know, I just gravitated towards them more. But, the kiss in DMC I remember sitting there in the theatre watching it and I was like, "No!!!1. Disney can't do that. Can they? They did that?! No...lol. OMG YES!! SQUEE!!!!1!!"

I was the insane little Sparabethian from that point on. I just cannot help it, how could you NOT love them? lol. We have valid reasons for it, just as valid as the Willabethers. And we got the better Shakspherian-sounding shipper name too. lol. Say that really fast five times, ay! ;)

YES! See, I wasn't even aware of what W/E shippers were like in the CotBP era cause I didn't even ship anything in PotC until DMC came along and my eyes were opened to the wonderfulness that was J/E.

LOL IT'S SO TRUE. I became a total shipper in those 2 and a half or so hours. The flame was ignited and grew to a full fire in that amount of time. Meanwhile, I was at the movie with a W/E-shipping friend who got all emo after the movie and in my head I was still trying to figure out what just happened whilst squeeing up a storm. =P

I totally agree, there are some very valid points for Sparrabeth aside from the fact that it is HOT. My theory on the whole thing is that they set up W/E perfectly for a single movie, but stretching that relationship over two more movies didn't work so well. It would've been nicer for them to have had their "happily ever after" ending in CotBP and be done with it. But DMC and AWE only proved to me how right J/E were over W/E...

But man, I love our ship.

I couldn't help it, the second that I saw J/E's interaction in CotBP, I was all a flutter with the possibility of the two of them. I just never really cared too much for the character Will or the idea of W/E. I know most people that ship W/E on my f-list, but there's only a few of the J/E shippers I have. By the time DMC came along, it just proved everything that I had seen in CotBP. *g*

See, it's kind of funny b/c when I went to see DMC - I was also at the movies with a friend who ships/enjoys W/E and the whole group of us - there were more than just myself and her, ended up getting into a discussion of who we thought were going to end up together or who belongs together (our personal preference) in the next movie, which was AWE and I was all for Jack/Elizabeth and she was just like - nope and the whole discussion left me feeling jaded. I hated the way she ended up making me feel guilty for having a difference of opinion and when I tried to point out valid things that made J/E come alive in my head, it was like she was deliberately trying to shoot down what I was saying and argue with me. Finally I was like, whatever. &rolls eyes.

That's the only thing I don't like about W/E shippers, because they have this way of making the J/E shippers feeling invalid and we're not. There's actually proof there...it's not our fault that THEY can't see it. lol.

And I happen to agree with your theory. You won't find me arguing with you, lol. There were so many J/E stuff that was cut from AWE, that it wasn't even funny. And I highly doubt that if W/E hadn't been facing imminent death - they would NOT have gotten married. re: DMC! ;)
