After re-reading the first 3 books, I realized, yep, I'm a H/HR shipper this time around too (I don't think I'd even heard of fandom or shipping when I started the series the first time).
Aw, yay! I just love their relationship, platonic or otherwise. They are just extremely good friends to each other, and to me, they're the closest emotionally connected characters in the book. I think that's the foundation you need for a good romantic relationship.
HP is on my never ending list of things to read, but I know I remember being confused when you said R/H was canon LOL. I always thought it was obvious that H/Hr were destined to be an item. I will definitely be paying closer attention to the signals next time around.
Wait, R/H? Ron/Harry? LOL Well, that or R/Hr, either one does not compute. ;)
You should definitely re-read/finish the HP series. If your enjoyment of it is ruled by shipping (like me), your enjoyment of the last couple might be skewed, but it's still a good series. H/Hr is all about the subtlety, which is what I love about it. Even though, to me, those subtleties scream right off the page, but not everyone sees it that way. *shrug*
